Sending your drive in for Data Recovery:

• Fill out the

  Hard Drive Recovery Payment Authorization Form

  and
  

  Hard Drive Recovery Customer Information Sheet

  and include them with your disk.
   
• The hard drive recovery job is usually completed within the following 1 to 4 days and your data is then ready for shipping.
• Make sure no further damage happens to your disk drive, pack it into the original drive box when possible otherwise use enough bubble wrap that no further drive damage will occur.
• Give as much information as to what you need to recover on your failed disk, My Documents, Email family pictures etc.
• Get as much insurance as you feel comfortable with. The more insurance, the greater care is provided to your precious disk. If you have a box insured for Ten Thousand Dollars, you can be sure that they will practically send the CEO with your box personally to my door.
• After you have shipped your disk, please call us or Email Us the tracking information so that we can expect your parcel and notify you if there should be any delays in shipping.

The most common types of hard drive crashes usually start with bad sectors on the hard drive. This will cause devastation on all operating systems ( Windows, Mac, Linux, Unix including improperly maintained Raid systems ).

USB hard drive storage units such as Maxtor One Touch, LaCie data storage, IOMEGA  Zipdisk data storage...etc.. are a good method of backup for your data, however these USB hard drives can also crash and your data may get lost, deleted or corrupted needing hard drive data recovery. The only way to safeguard your data is to make multiple backups of your data.

You can usually tell when a hard drive failure is immanent, when your computer boots up, you'll see a message like "S.M.A.R.T. drive failure immanent, backup your drive now" or "Primary HDD failure". Usually by this time, it's too late to backup your drive, you need data recovery. The more things you try, the worst things will get if you don't understand data recovery procedures.
